It really\nhas been a long time since I posted. I conclude that being ill was\/is good for\nmy writing productivity, being quite well is good for everything else but kills\noff my writing mojo. Not having an incident to report which surreptitiously\nshows how brave and alternative I am being has blunted my pencil. All that\npolitical posturing, all that \u2018hey look at me\u2019 aren\u2019t I a free spirit, well I\nguess it was just a cancer diagnosis -drug induced- panic attack, but despite\nthat it really did make me happy, if not as original or as provocative as I\nthought\/wished. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of you\nare to blame. You said that you enjoyed the blog, so I wrote stuff to be\nenjoyed \u2013 some of you unsubscribed \u2013 not you of course otherwise this post is\nthe proverbial unheard tree falling in the forest \u2013 some of you found it funny,\nso I wrote more funny stuff -cringe \u2013 none of you read my poems \u2013 so like some\npetulant teenager I stopped writing them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hey but I\nhave joined a writing group at the university. \u201cWhat about me\u201d WAM. It\u2019s about\nwriting the self which as you know is what I do. As WAM members may read this I\nwill say only nice things \u2013 I LOVE YOU ALL \u2013 but joining WAM has been enough to\nmake me want to write again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have\nreally worked at avoiding it for at least a year \u2013 longer really. I am very\nhappy not writing. I work, I play, I worry \u2013 the usual stuff. Writing is no\nlonger important. Excuses like I am too busy \u2013 bahh cobblers. Today I graveled\nthe back, yep the back, the bit nobody sees, where nobody goes apart from the\ncat for a poo, the back of my red telephone box. It needed gravelling more than\nI needed to write. So there it is \u2013 my writing comes second to a spot of\nredundant tarmacing. Poor cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
